Commercial census

The results of the Observatory of Urban Commercial Activity project are presented, which aims to provide data related to the projection and revitalization of local commerce in Formentera, allowing for a clear picture of the situation in the different areas of Formentera.

The study was funded by European funds granted to the Insular Council of Formentera and is a project in which the Data Observatory and the Department of Trade and Markets have actively participated. The fieldwork (inventory and indicators) was carried out by José Manuel Soriano Guasch during 2024. Throughout 2025, the professional team from the Data Observatory and the Department of Trade and Markets of the Insular Council of Formentera worked on refining and adapting the inventory databases, study and analysis, conclusions, and visualization results.
