This study presents tourist expenditure in Formentera based on data provided by Mabrian Technologies SL. It includes real data on expenditure made via credit and debit cards in Formentera between November 2021 and October 2022, compared with 2019. This specific comparison with 2019 is made to avoid distorting the evolution of results due to the effects of the pandemic in 2020 and 2021. The sample always refers to international market bank cards, specifically the markets of origin (place of issuance of bank cards) with the highest representation in Formentera that have been analyzed. These are: Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, France, North America, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Portugal, and Austria.

In this study, you will find the following interesting results that will provide us with the following information: the top 10 analyzed markets of origin according to the Expenditure Index; the evolution of expenditure by market of origin; the Average Expenditure Index by market of origin; the Average Transaction Value Index by market of origin; the average stay based on card usage; the evolution of unique visits, the temporal distribution of international expenditure and its evolution; and the distribution of expenditure by market of origin and different expenditure types (accommodation, catering, retail, supermarkets, transport, professional services, household goods, beauty, health, and others).
