Cookie policy
This policy explains which cookies and which browser local storage the Data Observatory of Formentera website, owned by the Consell Insular de Formentera, uses.
In short
The site uses no advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not connect to any third party unless you decide to load a Power BI report. Our own cookies and local data are technical or store preferences that you choose yourself, so we do not ask for consent for them (article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on information society services).
Our own cookies and storage
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| preferred-lang | First-party preference cookie | Remembers the language you chose with the selector (Catalan, Spanish or English). Only created if you choose one. | 1 year |
| theme | Local storage | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. Only created if you press the theme button. | Until you change it or clear the site's data |
| observatori-powerbi-consent | Local storage | Remembers, if you tick the box, that you agree to load Power BI reports automatically, and the date you agreed. | 12 months |
| __Host-admin-token | Technical session cookie | Keeps authorised staff signed in (administration panel, survey results and the tourist information offices' form). Never created for people who only browse the site. | At most 12 hours; in the admin panel and the survey results it ends after 60 minutes of inactivity |
| __Host-google-oauth | Technical cookie | Only while authorised staff sign in with their Google account: holds random security values used to check that Google's reply belongs to the same request. Deleted on return from Google. | 10 minutes at most |
| oit-survey-draft | Session storage | Only on the tourist information offices' form: if the session has expired when an enquiry is sent, keeps the answers so they can be restored after signing in again. | Until they are restored or the tab is closed |
The website usage statistics (see the Privacy policy) use no cookies and store no identifier in your browser. The virtual assistant does not store anything in your browser either: the conversation identifier only exists while the page is open.
Power BI reports (Microsoft)
Some older reports are embedded from Microsoft Power BI's "publish to web" service. They never load without your action: each report first shows a notice and a "Load the report" button. When you press it, your browser connects to Microsoft servers (app.powerbi.com), which may set their own cookies and identifiers, under Microsoft's responsibility and in accordance with its privacy statement.
If you tick "Remember my choice", reports will load automatically in this browser for 12 months. You can withdraw this consent at any time with the "Withdraw consent" button at the end of this page, or with the "Stop loading Power BI reports automatically" link shown under every loaded report. Withdrawing it does not delete cookies that Microsoft has already stored; to do that, clear the data of app.powerbi.com in your browser.
How to delete cookies and local data
You can delete this site's cookies and local storage at any time from your browser settings (usually under privacy or site data).
